In an effort to support institutions within the ISLAND, it was decided that the making of furniture and rehabilitating of the lab be done by LAMU Polytechnic. The Polytechnic engaged their staff and students in doing the following activities

1. Putting up of the ceiling
2. Painting the room
3. Making of tables and chairs

Sample chair, wooden which is preferred to metal, which is susceptible to rusting in the coast environment

4. Burglar proofing the windows and the doors
